Our client had purchased a single building plot on a small lotissement, which is a typically French development approach, where the main contractor provides serviced plots off a completed estate road.

The site is the last plot to be developed and although it had the equivalent of an outline planning approval, the design was subject to a site brief covering design styles etc. and detailed approval (permis de construire).

The client, an experienced builder, wanted to maximise the limit of 170 sq.m. floor area and take advantage of the sloping site.

The final design provides a family detached property with split staircase and linked double detached garage.

The development is now underway and is due to be completed by mid- 2012.
