Karenza Hassall Moss Sandbach
Karenza is a traditional bungalow located in the Hassall Moss area of Sandbach. It is positioned on the edge of the settlement area and has the benefit of stunning views over adjacent open countryside.
The client, an experienced developer and interior designer, wanted to remove an unsightly conservatory and replace this with a large feature living space with a master bedroom suite to a first floor.
The client had specific design ideas for the proposed extension and wanted to create a contemporary addition to the property.
At first the Council were unsure about the scale of the extension on such an exposed site, but the submission of a comprehensive Design & Access Statement, incorporating images of similar projects and material palettes persuaded the Officers to support the Planning Application.
The completed scheme is a testament to the client’s design philosophy and an example to other Authorities of what can be achieved with such a design-led approach.
