School Cottage Crewe Green
School Cottage is located within Crewe Green, a small hamlet with Conservation Area protection on the edge of Crewe.
The property was the school master's house associated with the adjacent former Crewe Green School and Duchy Estate.
The project was constrained by the numerous oak and pine trees around the property, which are protected by Tree Preservation Orders.
The property was comprehensively renovated and extended in recent years to add a feature kitchen/family room extension to the rear, a 2-storey dining room & master bedroom extension to the side gable and a double garage with loft space office.
All work respected the distinctive style of the building with local 'magpie' detailing and hand-made timber windows. Selected reclaimed Cheshire bricks and traditional clay tiles ensured the extensions match seamlessly with the original building.
