East Cheshire Chamber of Commerce Golf Day 2017
The competition this year was again held at Vale Royal Abbey and as is tradition we gave last year’s Picea Design team the option of playing again this year and no surprise... the offer of bacon butties beforehand and a dinner afterwards was too much of a temptation.
However, a last minute substitution was required as Shane Murray stepped into the fray in place of Russell Adams. 21 teams teed off with a shot gun start in warm June weather, but with the threat of thundery showers.
A dinner and presentation was held in the evening followed by the raffle and auction in support of ‘Kidneys for Life’ which raised an impressive an impressive sum for such a worthwhile charity.
Our team scored a total of 93 points which was enough to scrape a very narrow victory from the Mark Taylor and his Brownlow Inn team by way of a count-back process.
Not sure of the merits of beating a client in such circumstances...
So after over 10 years of trying, we have at last a winner’s trophy to polish for the next 12 months.
Another great day with superb organisation as ever from David and the team at East Cheshire Chamber.
