Trouthall Lane Plumley
Picea Design was approached by the site owner to investigate the development potential of a small parcel of land within Plumley, a sought after village to the west of Knutsford.
Although located on a road frontage and between existing dwellings, the site is allocated as greenbelt. The development options were therefore very limited.
A pre-App enquiry was submitted to the Council for a wholly affordable housing scheme so that this could be considered as a rural exception site.
The principle of this type of development was accepted by the Council, but concerns were raised about the retention of the mature hedge along the site frontage and the potential impact the development could have on adjacent listed dwelling.
Picea Design worked alongside MCI Developments, Peaks & Plains Housing Trust and other Consultants to present a sound and robust case to the Council.
The Application was approved in November 2012 and construction has now been completed.
